Synopsis
Lee Yoon Sung works at the Blue House's National Communication Network Team and received his ph.D at M.I.T. Kim Nana, a former judo athlete who works as a bodyguard for the president's residence, the Blue House. Kim Nana will be eventually be involved in a love triangle with Lee Yoon Sung and prosecutor Kim Young Joo. The drama also marks Go Ha Ra's acting debut and she will play the role of the President daughter's, Choi Da Hye.

Synopsis
Heartstrings takes place at an arts college which focuses on dancing, singing, acting, and literature, and is classified as a 'mellow campus drama', detailing the lives of college students. Lee Shin (Jung Yong Hwa) is a university student majoring in modern music. He is the vocalist of band "The Stupid" and also plays the guitar. Shin initially likes Jung Yoon Soo (So Yi Hyun), a dance professor at university, but this all changes when he meets Lee Kyu Won (Park Shin Hye).

Major in applied music and the guitar. He is the guitarist and vocalist in the band called "The stupid". He is a man of few words and has a cold personality. He likes her but doesn't know why. Like how he likes the guitar, He likes her in that way too and wants to protect her no matter what challenges come his way. Suddenly Seok Hyun comes along and shakes up Yoon Soo's feelings and then Kyu Won's.

Major in Korean classical music and the gayageum (a 12 stringed Korean harp). She is the granddaughter of one of the top 3 Korean Pansori singers, Lee Dong Jin. And due to Dong Jin's stubbornness in making Kyu Won a Korean classical music genius, she left alone in Seoul while her father work alone at a middle school in the countryside. Ten years pass and Kyu  Won is living with her stern grandfather. There's always the sound of Pansori coming out of her house and even her call waiting song has to be Korean classical music. Kyu Won later becomes a famous idol group stars that everyone else knows. However, after meeting Seok Hyun, the perfomance director, and Shin, the arrogant student from the department of applied arts, her university life gets all tangled

He is Hyun Gi Jun younger brother. As a younger brother, he grew up with the freedom which wasn't available to his older brother. He was given whatever he want and did whatever he want when he was young. He thinks it's impossible for anything to be permanent. He's been unemployed for three years and is looking for answer. He meets Gong Ah Jung and gets embroiled in her marriage fraud.
